Subject: Human Rights Defender Makumbirofa Appeal to Zimbabweans for unity
To: zimbabwe-crisis-news <firstname.lastname@example.org>
Attention: l appeal to all Zimbabweans not to be diverted from the current problems Zimbabwe is facing. The problem is ZANU PF government which has lost legitimacy. Our focus should be on bringing freedom, liberation and sanity to Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe will never ever be right with ZANU PF in power. ZANU has no authority either from God or the people to rule Zimbabwe. ZANU PF has lost all elections since the year 2008. Mugabe must go. ZANU PF is a criminal enterprise guilt of rigging elections, massacres, and corruption. The Unity government has no legitimacy nor mandate of the people of Zimbabwe. People of Zimbabwe have not voted for unity government in 2008.
We want true democracy, freedom of speech and market driven economy with little interference from the state government. How long shall our people continue being beaten, raped, tortured and oppressed by ZANU PF? How long shall it take before this tyranny of men comes to an end? My heart goes to the people and families of people who have been murdered by ZANU PF militias, police, soldiers and CIO. My heart goes to the poor suffering in Zimbabwe.
Thousands of opposition women have been raped by ZANU PF sanctioned militias, soldiers, CIO War Veterans and police. Thousands of Zimbabweans have been tortured. Hundreds of people have been mutilated or had their hands and finders cut for refusing to support ZANU PF political party.
We should value patriotism and right to existence of all people more than our lives. Its high time all Zimbabweans from different political parties and different walks of life unite for the seek of our country. We must not be comfortable in suffering. We do not deserve poverty and suffering we have.
Zimbabwe must be free. We want democracy now. We want freedom of speech and conscience.
